I woke up this morning with a revolution. I'm sitting in this little house on a dead end street in a small southern town, unfulfilled, lonely, and looking for some purpose in my life.

I'm in great shape for my age, no major health issues, smart, talented, with a sweet little truck that could be used to help out the neighbors.

It's time to engage with my community. It's time to visit the local Senior Center and volunteer. I've been holding on to a pathetic position about this since last year when I applied for their MyRide Lawrence manager position and didn't get it. I even wrote an amazing website to support the whole thing ( RideQue ), that nobody got.

They're closed this Halloween weekend but I'm dropping by next Monday and we'll see what happens. I spent twenty five years providing bus rides to Senior Centers from Idaho to Seattle. I'm more than qualified, I can pass any background check and my driving record is flawless. Maybe I'll make some new friends and find some meaning to my life...
