Back in the old days, when I lived near Downtown Pensacola, I was about three blocks from a Dollar General and seven from a Publix. I could walk there and carry bags back. Downtown was nearby and restaurants were close.

Now the Dollar store is a mile away while Publix and places to eat are 3.5 miles away. Downtown, at 13 miles away, is not an option anymore.

There is also no public transportation, and folks around here don't pick up hitch-hikers.

I don't have a Trike anymore, which puts me at Dan and Shelby's transportation mercy. Dan has made it clear that Shelby is the only reason I'm allowed here, so I'm not going to bug him, and Shelby's going out of town for three days, so it should be interesting.
